Demo: Simulation of Elasto-hydrodynamic (EHL) Contacts in TriboDENS-PHENIX

EHL simulation ▶

Gears, rolling element bearings, wheel-rail and many other applications are commonly in EHL regimes of lubrication. Simulation of these conditions with varying load, fluid type and temperature is important for reliable system design.

TriboDENS-PHENIX can model the film thickness, pressure, temperature, friction and performance of lubricated contacts while using measured surface and lubricant data.

Demo: Simulation of a Journal Bearings in TriboDENS-PHENIX

Journal bearing simulation ▶

Journal bearings are one of the oldest and most commonly used machine components. Their applications include engines, turbines, compressors and transmission systems.

TriboDENS-PHENIX simulates journal bearing performance for different operating speeds, loads, clearances, lubricant properties and temperatures.

Demo: Simulation of a Generic Hydrodynamic Contacts

Hydrodynamic simulation ▶

Hydrodynamic contacts are commonly found in lubrication, manufacturing and metal-forming processes. Their behaviour depends on speed, geometry, lubricant properties and loading.

TriboDENS-PHENIX provides detailed predictions of pressure, film thickness, friction and performance for generic hydrodynamic contacts.

Demo: Simulation of Hypoid Gears in 2 Minutes

Hypoid gear simulation ▶

The geometry and sliding conditions in hypoid gears make contact analysis particularly demanding. Accurate simulation helps engineers understand efficiency, friction and wear.

TriboDENS-PHENIX rapidly calculates the operating conditions and lubrication performance of hypoid gear contacts.

Simulation of Piston-Ring Conjunctions in TriboDENS-PHENIX

Piston-ring simulation ▶

Piston-ring conjunctions are responsible for significant friction and energy loss in internal combustion engines. Their behaviour changes throughout the engine cycle.

TriboDENS-PHENIX calculates pressure, film thickness, friction, wear and lubrication conditions using realistic operating and surface data.
